ABSL Women for Ukraine
ABSL Women encourage to take part in a fundraiser set up on the occasion of International Women’s Day. This symbolic date is just the starting point for a long-term and structured support for Ukrainian women fleeing their homeland in search of peace and stability. The fundraiser is part of the Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) help initiative “SOS Ukraina”.
All women, regardless of their nationality, cultural background or status, should be able to celebrate International Women’s Day, not only on March 8.
Women comprise over half modern business services in Poland. It’s a powerful force that can and will affect change. At ABSL we firmly believe in activities that can bring tangible results. We also know that it takes time to build up structured, reliable and prospective schemes. With this in mind, and with the help of PAH, we have set up a fundraiser, available under this link, aiming at providing Ukrainian women, and all refugees fleeing Ukraine, with financial support.
The fundraiser is just the first step of our programme to offer Ukrainian women with continuous support including workshops, panel discussions and other initiatives led by ABSL members and our female leaders. More details will follow.
Initiatives in ABSL Chapters
Chapters Leaders on the pulse of regional initiatives for Ukraine
We are honoured that ABSL Chapter Leaders receive a number of e-mails and telephones from regional member companies who wish to provide their support to Ukrainians, looking for verified, trusted and efficient ways to do so. Our Chapter Leaders stay in touch with the City Halls and other local stakeholders on the most up-to-date initiatives aimed at supporting Ukrainians in their respective cities. Be it voluntary opportunities, goods collections or important contacts – your Chapter Leader will know it. Regional update calls are also a field to exchange views on the internal challenges and share best practices in these extraordinary circumstances. Contact your local leader to get more updates and get yourself in the middle of the information flow. You can find your Chapter Leader here.
